Linda Popky: Write Now: How to Create Content That Drives Your Business in Today’s Environment

This is an interactive hands-on Zoom workshop that will be limited to no more than 10 participants.

Have your laptop ready. This is a working session!

Want to learn how to write a press release, a blog post, or an op-ed that gets read and gets you known? Would you like to be able to create multiple types of content based on the same concept, quickly and easily? In this SAC Learning Accelerator Lab, Linda Popky will take us step by step from idea to writing a strategic press release, blog post or an op-ed that will get read by our target markets.

Join us for this hands-on session that will help take out the stress and anxiety about creating content for your business. You’ll create at least one piece of content during the session, and you’ll learn how to get your piece published. So come with a topic idea you’d like to see published. You’ll leave with a finished piece, guidelines for creating additional pieces, and a plan for what to do next to get your work published.

Linda will also share her formula for leveraging intellectual property across multiple media, rather than reinventing the wheel every time you try to create content. You will never look at content creation the same way again.

About the Speaker

SAC Executive Director Linda Popky is an award winning marketing consultant who has not only written marketing and PR materials for clients, she’s authored her own books, and written and edited commercially published books for other authors. Her blog posts are regularly published by C-Suite Networks, MultiBriefs, CommPro, and others.

Amy Segami: Talking TED: The Process, Production, and Performance

TED Talks provide credibility and visibility globally. It’s a great way for thought leaders to spread their ideas worldwide. However, not all TED Talks are of the same quality.

This interactive workshop will give you the tools you need to create an effective thought leadership piece by crafting and producing an outstanding TED Talk.

Workshop leader Amy Segami is a trusted advisor for TEDxChicago. After speaking at the inaugural TEDx in Atlanta, she founded and produced TEDxIIT—the longest-running independently organized TED event in Chicago—and continues to develop and deliver outstanding TED Talks.

Amy has worked with hundreds of international speakers—from scientists to entrepreneurs who speak on the round red carpet. Through her insights and proven process, she demystifies what it takes to have a TED Talk mindset and be an effective TED or TEDx event speaker.

Session goals and takeaways:

  • Pitch your TED Talk effectively
  • Craft your TED Talk professionally
  • Deliver your TED Talk successfully

This is an interactive hands-on Zoom workshop that will be limited to no more than 10 participants. Attendees should have watched at least three TED Talks prior to the workshop.

About the Speaker:

Amy Lee Segami is an engineer turned artist, entrepreneur and international marketing executive featured on BBC, NPR, Chicago Crain’s Business and TED Blog. Born in China, raised in Hong Kong, and educated in the US, her life’s work is mastering the complexity of change. As a business consultant and keynote speaker, she provides valuable insights into leadership and innovation. She is the winner of the SAC Emerging Consultant Advancing Consultant Award 2019.
