Award Presented for Outstanding Performance as an Established Consultant
NEW YORK, NY—The Society for the Advancement of Consulting® (SAC), a leading global association of independent consulting professionals, today announced that Andrew Hollo is one of the initial winners of the Corrie Shanahan Memorial Award for Advancing Consulting. The award, announced at the 16th annual meeting of the organization, is given to the two independent consultants who have done the most to advance the profession in the previous year.
Andrew Hollo, principal consultant and director of Workwell Consulting, Melbourne, Australia, received the award for established consultant.
The award has been named in memory of Corrie Shanahan, a SAC member who passed away earlier this year. Corrie Shanahan was an expert in rapidly strengthening organizational performance, productivity, and corporate culture, and the author of Do it, Mean it, Be it. The Keys to Achieve Success, Happiness and Everything You Deserve at Work and in Life.
“Corrie was an active, generous member of this community, who exemplified the qualities we were looking to recognize in a consultant,” according to Linda Popky, co-executive director of SAC. “We are pleased to be able to recognize her professionalism, dedication and unfailing optimism in spite of the health challenges she faced. It’s fitting that her spirit lives on with this award.”
About the Winner
“We want to congratulate Andrew for winning this award,” said Lisa Anderson, co-executive director of SAC. “The applicant pool was highly qualified and reflects the high caliber of consultants who belong to the SAC association.”
“I am beyond delighted and grateful for the recognition that this aware confers,” said Hollo. “Because this is offered by my peers and is based on a deep understanding of what it means to be a consultant, it’s very meaningful to me.
“I want to acknowledge my clients who supported my nomination by speaking openly and frankly about the great work we’ve been able to do together,” he added. “I’ve been in business for over 20 years, and intend to stay do for at least the next 20, so I look forward to learning more , assisting others in their consulting ventures, and continuing to benefit my clients in whatever ways I can.”
Andrew actively mentors entrepreneurs and business people both in Australia and overseas, as well as providing pro bono support for small social causes in the arts and public health. He has traveled widely throughout Asia, including to North Korea, and is a passionate reader, as well as explorer of new and curious foods.
Andrew resides in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Kate and son Jasper.
