Prior to founding her own health care consulting practice in 2003, Dr. Waddill-Goad held the positions of Chief Nursing Officer/Assistant Administrator, Operations Improvement Coordinator, Director of Quality Improvement, Administrative Supervisor and Charge Nurse. As a staff nurse, she chose to work both as an employee and a temporary nurse in hospital and physician office settings with work assignments of varying duration in a multitude of clinical areas.
Dr. Waddill-Goad's unique qualifications with formal education in nursing, business and executive leadership has fueled her diverse work experiences solely in the health care arena for the last four+ decades. She is a recognized nurse leader, coach and speaker, as well as a past clinical educator. She has also held academic appointments during her career and is the author of numerous articles and four books, published by Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI). The 1st titled: Nurse Burnout, Overcoming Stress in Nursing (2016), the 2nd titled, Business Basics for Nurses (2017), and Beyond Burnout: Overcoming Stress in Nursing and Healthcare for Optimal Health and Well-Being - a new text with a companion workbook (2023).
